Alpine Angling Tours host Mistral baits 2009 advanced range latest tests.

I had the real privilege to guide Allan Parbery, founder of Mistral Baits, for a week’s fishing last November. It was a real delight to fish with Allan, who is a bit of a legend in my part of the world having been one of the Cassien pioneers. Allan came over in order to discover what Alpine Angling Tours was about before extending our partnership, as well as giving the latest no name boilie, LiveR, one last, unforgiving test. Other than our obsession for fish welfare, we found ourselves having a common passion for good food and wine, and we rivalled in the kitchen tent to try and outclass each other, to eventually call it a draw!

The fishing was excellent, with 57 carp caught from two different venues, including several high thirties. The second venue was particularly challenging due to the High salinity of water and the need for long range, continental style fishing. The LiveR passed the test with full marks, enabling us to catch fish well above the average mark for this water, and retaining its attraction despite the saline environment.
